We do NOT collect any payment through Paypal.
Our investigation shows that we do NOT release or leak any personal data of our registrants. Therefore, we advise our attendees to beware of any fraudulent communication asking for personal / banking information or seeking money for congress.

After more than 4 years of preparation, the 9th World Congress of Biomechanics (WCB 2022) is now around the corner. We are very excited and looking forward to the opportunities for holding an innovative hybrid conference and we have gathered some of the key information of the congress which you may find useful.

PURPOSE: Live streaming of all scientific sessions during congress hours and the recordings will also remain accessible until 23:59 (Taipei time) on 20th August 2022.

OPENING: The virtual congress space will be open from 1st to 20th July 2022.
PURPOSE: To provide an interactive platform for the Congress Welcome Reception and the live Poster Sessions.

NETWORKING: In order to allow all attendees to have more opportunities to interact and network with each other, we have allocated an area of the Gather Town Space called the “Leisure Area”. This is where you will find an ample number of chatting areas and meeting rooms to allow you to chat and interact with old and new colleagues around the world, in private. You can schedule a meet time with others or simply pop in at any time during the conference, and chat with others that are there.

All registrants are eligible for the lucky draws and to be in the chance to have your personal cartoon caricature or paper cut silhouettes created by famous Taiwanese artists on the day as well as win some authentic Taiwanese souvenirs hand-picked by the organizing committee!
TO ENTER: We invite you to come and explore the Congress Gather Town Space anytime between the 1st to 8th of July. Whilst you are there, look for the “Lucky Draw” booths located throughout the “Welcome Reception” area and you will be able to obtain your lottery ticket after completing the required form.
WINNERS: The first-round winners for the cartoon caricature and silhouettes will be announced and notified by email on the 9th of July. We welcome the winners to join the reception at 17:30 to receive their prizes as well as other attendees to come and join the fun!
Further prizes, including Taiwanese souvenirs, will be drawn during the welcome reception.

Dear Authors,
We are delighted to announce that we have begun notifying authors of the presentation of their abstracts by email (via the mailbox associated to the online system). If you do not receive an email from us by March 22nd, please be sure to check the spam or junk mailbox. Should the notification email fail to reach you still, please inform us via info@wcb2022.com.
Please note that the presenting author must register to participate in the Congress and choose a participation format (in-person or virtual) by 10th April 2022.
Although we are expecting travel restrictions to be relaxed in the coming months, currently all visitors and conference participants to Taiwan are still subject to travel restrictions. Therefore, prior to finalizing participation format, please consider the quarantine and entry policies.
Please register with “Virtual Participation” if you:
-Are restricted entry to Taiwan, or
-May have difficulties undergoing quarantine in Taiwan
Currently, entrance to Taiwan is only open to business travelers conducting business visits, investments, fulfillment of contractual obligations, and employment etc. Upon entry, travelers must undergo a mandatory quarantine of 7 to 14 days. Therefore, please be sure to check the Taiwan CDC Press Release Page for the most updated entry and quarantine requirements before making your final decision at the registration deadline on 10th April, 2022.

In response to considering the possible COVID-19 travel restrictions, the Organizing Committee has decided to allow optional online participation as well as an in-person meeting. We hope this in-person/online hybrid format would allow biomechanists around the world to participate with minimal interference from the effects of the pandemic. Participants will be asked to select their participation format, either in-person or online, during abstract submission and registration. Whether you plan to join us online or onsite, we look forward to receiving your abstracts by the submission deadline (December 15, 2021).
